If you are here to learn how to spot fake Off-White Dunk Low sneakers, you are in the right place.

We have prepared this guide on how to check the real vs fake Off-White Dunk sneakers with just ten simple spots to look at for it to be easier when you authenticate these sneakers.

It is worth mentioning that we are going to refer to the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low sneakers in the simple form of OW Dunk sneakers.

Now that you know what we’re talking about, let’s get you to the proper real vs fake Off-White Dunk Low sneakers.

Also, since there are yet three colourways released for the Off-White x Nike Dunk Low, we are going to alternate in the real vs fake Off-White Dunk Low pictures with all of the three colourways, and all of the flaws apply to all of the colourways released for the OW Dunk Low.

How to spot fake Off-White Dunk Low sneakers

First of all, we’d like to mention that we consider the interior tongue tag of these shoes being the most reliable spot in order to check the authenticity of an Off-White Dunk Low pair since replica Off-White manufacturers never manage to get this text right.

Step 1: Check the interior tongue tag on your Off-White Nike Dunk Low

As we said previously, we consider the interior tongue tag being one of the most reliable signs of a fake OW Dunk Low pair of sneakers.

First of all, you can easily notice how the fake Off-White Dunk Low interior tongue tag has its characters with a different font-weight than the ones met on the legit pairs.

By that, we mean that the fake Off-White Dunk Low sneakers have either thicker or thinner letters on the inner tongue tag, compared to the retail OW Dunk pair.

We have highlighted this fact on the most commonly flawed words on the fake OW Dunk pairs.

On the upper side of the inner tongue tag, you can see how the legit OW Dunk pair has the letter “S” in the word “SPECIFICATIONS” thinner than the letter “S” met on the fake pair.

Then, the word “THROUGHOUT” is also flawed on the counterfeit Off-White Dunk Low pair as the fake text is wavily placed, while the legit one is placed on a straight line.

Not only that for this word, as the text has a different size for its letters. The first half and the end of the word “THROUGHOUT” are smaller than the letters in the middle of the word.

On the other hand, the legit pair has the whole “THROUGHOUT” text at the same thickness and the same straight placement.

Moving to the next line of text on the inner tongue tag on the Off-White Dunk Low sneakers, you can see how the fake pair has the word “NIKE” and even the neighbour word “NAME” placed wavily just as the “THROUGHOUT” text above, and even the letters are a lot thicker than the ones met on the legit tag.

In fact, the same flaws explained above apply for the rest of the highlighted areas on the fake Off-White Nike Dunk Low pairs, and we have pointed out at these flaws because these are the most commonly found flaws on the fake pairs.

At the same time, keep in mind that not all of the fake pairs will have the same exact flaws positioned as in the example above, and that’s why we try to show you all of the flaws met on the top tier Off-White Dunk Low pairs on the market.

Step 2: Verify the medial text on the left and the right shoes

As for the second step of the real vs fake Off-White Nike Dunk Low comparison, we are going to take a look at both the left and the right shoes’ text on the sides.

The left shoe’s medial text

First, we are going to analyze the left shoe, and then we are going to take a look at the right shoe’s medial text.

First, on the fake right shoe, you can notice how the “Off-White” text is looking a bit off, meaning that the paint is not clearly readable as the legit text, while the authentic text is fully visible.

The “TM” text to the “Off-White” text is a lot bigger on the fake Off-White Nike Dunk Low pair, while on the legit pair, it is obviously looking smaller.

Going a bit lower, you can notice how the fake pair has the “c. 1985” text looking thicker than the legit print, especially on the letter “c”.

Lastly on the left shoe, we can easily notice how the letters “B” in the word “Beaverton” and “O” in the word “Oregon” are a lot thicker on the fake Off-White Dunk Low pair than the letters on the authentic pairs.

With this being said for the left shoe’s medial text, let’s move on to the right shoe’s medial text too.

The right shoe’s medial text

First of all, let’s see the reference real vs fake Off-White Nike Dunk Low comparison pictures, and then, let us explain the flaws on the replica Off-White Dunk pairs.

First, we have pointed out how the word “LOW” on the second line of the text on the right shoe has the letter “W” looking a lot thicker on the counterfeit Off-White Dunk pair, rather than the authentic pair which looks thinner.

Then, the comma (“,”) flaw is commonly met on the replica Off-White x Nike pairs. In fact, the fake Off-White Dunk Low pairs most of the time have a round comma, while the authentic pairs have a square comma. By round and square, we refer to the top side of the character.

Lastly, for the medial text, you can see how the “c. 1985” text has exactly the opposide flaw from the left shoe’s medial text.

The letter “c” in the “c. 1985” text on the fake Off-White Dunk Low pair is a lot thinner than the one met on the authentic pairs.

Step 3: Real vs fake Off-White Dunk toe box

The toe box is where the toes fit in. As shown in the picture below, you will notice that the toe box is significantly bulkier on the fake pair when compared to the slender toe box of the authentic pair.

This difference can be attributed to the poor attention to detail from the fake manufacturers as well as the lower quality factory equipment used in the production of the sneakers.

Step 4: Look at the rear heel “NIKE” text

Moving onto the rear side of the Off-White Nike Dunk Low sneakers, we are going to take a quick look at the “NIKE” text around the heel area.

Basically, the fake Off-White Dunk Low pairs have the “NIKE” text looking a lot smaller than they have to look like and this is a spot you can notice with the naked eye.

Besides, the sponge around the patch with the “NIKE” text is different too, on the fake Off-White Nike Dunk Low pair.

Not only that, but you can see how the little tab which holds the printed “NIKE” text is also looking smaller on the fake Off-White Dunk pair than the legit one.

Step 5: Inspect the “SHOELACES” print

With all of these methods on how to spot the fake Off-White Nike Dunk Low pairs that we’ve explained above, we’ve still got some more.

Now we are going to let you know how to check the fake vs real Off-White Nike Dunk Low by looking at the “SHOELACES” text that’s printed, obviously, on the laces.

As you have noticed, the idea which brightens up the Off-White Nike Dunk Low pair is that has two sets of laces set up at the same time to the pair: the classic laces, and the extra thinner orange laces.

Since there are two sets of laces attached to the pair at the same time, we have two main flaws, and they are both about the thickness.

The classic laces have the “SHOELACES” print obviously thicker on the fake pairs, while the authentic Off-White Dunk pairs have this text thinner.

Then, on the extra orange laces, the “SHOELACES” print is a lot smaller and at the same time, a lot thinner on the fake Off-White Dunk laces.

On the other hand, the legit laces have the printed text looking bigger and a lot thicker.

It may be hard to spot these flaws, and that’s why we recommend you refer to our real vs fake Off-White Nike Dunk Low every time you have to authenticate one of these pairs.

Step 6: Analyze the stitching on your Dunks

Staying still on the rear side of the Off-White Dunk sneakers, we are going to inspect the stitching.

The main flaw on the rear side of the sneakers is that the three lines of stitching inside the coloured shape of the sneakers (below the “NIKE” text) is a lot thinner and smaller on the fake shoes.

On the other hand, the authentic Off-White Nike Dunk Low sneakers have this stitching on the rear side of them a lot longer and thicker.

Besides, you can easily notice how, on the midsole, the authentic sneakers have a solid line of stitching, and how on the fake sneakers, these stitches are missing.

That’s what we would call a blatant mistake from the replica Off-White manufacturers.

Step 7: Fake vs real Off-White Dunk orange tab

Now we are going to look on the side of the Off-White Dunk sneakers, and that’s focusing next to the Nike Swoosh logo: the orange tab.

Most of the time, the fake Off-White Dunk Low pairs have the dimensions of the tab too small in height and width.

Keep in mind that this can be even the opposite, and that’s why we recommend you have the reference pictures that we show you whenever you legit check one of these sneakers.

Step 8: Legit check the Off-White Dunk Low sneakers by the size tag

The size tag is another important spot to look at when you authenticate the Off-White Dunk Low sneakers.

First of all, let’s have a look at the real vs fake Off-White Dunk reference images, and then see the explained flaws:

As you can see, we have five elements which we’ll analyze on the Off-White Dunk size tag. Perhaps, let’s start.

1 — The US size number

As you can see in the image above, the authentic Off-White Dunk Low sneakers have the US size number (8 in this case on both the fake and the real shoes) is a lot thinner than the text met on the fake shoes.

2 — The “EUR” text

The EUR text represents the European translated size, as it displays on the near right area.

The flaw on the fake Off-White Dunk sneakers on the EUR text is that there is an extra blank space between the letter “E” and the rest of the text.

On the other hand, the authentic Off-White Dunk pair has the whole letters aligned together.

3 — The “MADE IN CHINA” text

We have pointed out how, on the fake Off-White Dunk Low size tag, the “MADE IN CHINA” text looks a lot larger and longer than the authentic text.

The authentic size tag has the text looking much boxier and reserved rather than the longer counterfeit text.

4 — Product code print

By product code mean, we are talking about code that you search up on the internet and see if it matches your sneakers. It’s a unique code which every shoe have, and at the same time, this code has to match with the one on the same box the shoes come into.

As you can see in the image above, the fake product code print is a lot thicker and smaller on the fake pair, and on the authentic Off-White Dunk Low pair, the print is a lot thinner and bigger.

5 — The UK size text

As for the last translated size number, you can see how the fake Off-White Dunk’s size tag has nearly zero space between the UK translated size number and the bar above. On the legit sneakers, there is more space.

How to spot fake Off-White Dunk in 60 seconds?

There are situations where you may be unable to go through each detailed step explained above when you need to authenticate your Off-White Dunk.

That is why we have compiled this quick 60 seconds solution to authenticating your sneakers. Below are the top 8 indicators that can help you determine if you have a fake pair of sneakers or original manufactured Off-White Dunk Low.

  1. Inspect the interior tongue tag. Most of the time, the replica shoes will have their text placed wavily and not only that, but it will look deformed and thick
  2. Analyze the medial text on the left and the right shoes. The text is most of the times either too thick or too thin on the fake shoes
  3. Verify the toe box area of your Off-White Dunks. Usually, the fake Off-White Dunks will have an over-inflated toe box
  4. Check the rear heel “NIKE” text. Almost every time, the fake Dunks will have this text looking a lot smaller
  5. Look at the “SHOELACES” print. Since there are two sets of laces attached to the shoes, analyze both of them. Most of the time, the fake shoes will have the text too thick and/or too thin
  6. Verify the stitching on the rear side of your Off-White Dunks. Usually, the fake Dunks miss the stitching on the midsole, and the stitching in the middle of the shoes (on the rear side) is too thin and too small, while the legit pairs are exactly the opposite
  7. Look at the orange tab. Most of the time, the counterfeit Off-White Dunks will have the orange tab too long or too short
  8. Analyze the size tag for any font-weight or placement flaws
